Technical applications for surface processing in the metal industry

Corncob granulates are used in many different processes for surface treatments.
In so-called continuous processing, the granulates serve as drying, cleaning and polishing media.

In the process, work pieces are put together with REHOFIX® granulate in round bowl or bowl vibrators, and brought together through relative movement. In this way, stainless, dried and polished surfaces can be produced.
Here, the high absorbability of REHOFIX® granulates as well as the natural hardness play a role.

REHOFIX® is available in different granularities depending on the size of the part to be processed.
In blasting processes similar to sand blasting, the granulates act as blasting solids for gentle surface treatment without significant material loss.
